The Court of Appeals in Agadir has handed down prison sentences ranging from 3 to 15 years against 17 individuals involved in riots and acts of vandalism that occurred in the Ait Amira area of Chtouka Ait Baha province during the «Generation Z» protests earlier this October. According to media reports, the court sentenced two defendants to three years in prison, one defendant to four years, nine defendants to ten years, and three others to fifteen years. Another defendant received a twelve-year sentence. The case stems from violent incidents that accompanied the protests in Ait Amira, during which several individuals allegedly set fire to vehicles belonging to public forces, vandalized public and commercial buildings, and damaged private property, leading to their arrest and prosecution.
