A football coach in his forties was arrested by the Royal Gendarmerie in Drarga, on the outskirts of Agadir, over the weekend, on suspicion of attempting to lure one of his underage players to a secluded area. The arrest came after the victim's father filed a complaint, having noticed worrying changes in his 14-year-old son's behavior. He later discovered WhatsApp messages containing explicit conversations and images exchanged between the coach and the teenager. Acting on instructions from the public prosecutor, investigators placed the suspect under close surveillance. The operation led to the coach being caught at the meeting spot he had arranged with the minor, before he could carry out his alleged intentions. He was arrested in the act and taken to the Royal Gendarmerie station, where he was placed in custody on the orders of the public prosecutor. An investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances and details of the case.
