On Wednesday, the Royal Gendarmerie in Gueznaia, on the outskirts of Tangier, arrested a German national suspected of involvement in the rape and enticement of a minor. The arrest followed a citizen-led intervention that led to the capture of his Moroccan accomplice the previous day, caught in the act. According to local media, the case surfaced after several residents observed suspicious behavior from a foreign man who was frequently seen entering a house accompanied by minors. These actions raised concerns, prompting some locals to keep a close watch on the situation. Residents eventually managed to apprehend a Moroccan man suspected of luring children on behalf of the foreigner and handed him over to the Royal Gendarmerie. The German national, however, fled the scene as his accomplice was being caught. The same sources reported that the foreign suspect had already been the subject of multiple complaints from residents, due to his repeated presence in the neighborhood with minors. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect had previously sexually assaulted a minor in the same house, with the help of the Moroccan intermediary, in exchange for money.
