Marrakech played host to the second edition of «A Voice for Peace» Africa Special on November 1, 2025, marking the 50th anniversary of the Green March. This significant event gathered over 400 participants, all driven by a common dedication to peace and solidarity. Under the patronage of Morocco's ambassador to France, Samira Sitail, the initiative received backing from Maroc Force Emploi and Horizon Développement. These organizations are prominent in the fields of «inclusion, youth training and employment, and regional solidarity development», as highlighted in a press release. The event was orchestrated by the association Les Compagnons, which fosters unity among nations through dialogue, culture, sports, and cooperative solidarity. This edition saw the participation of representatives and dignitaries from various African nations, including Comoros, Liberia, Senegal, Congo, and Mali, alongside members from the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, as well as «Moroccan and European parliamentarians, business leaders, association heads, and cultural icons». «A Voice for Peace»: Morocco Hosts Africa Special Edition The program featured insightful roundtable discussions and captivating artistic performances. Sami Sellami, president of Les Compagnons, noted that this edition resonates with «the humanistic and peaceful vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, a champion of a unified Africa and stable cooperation among nations». In his remarks, Mustapha Hadji highlighted that Morocco exemplifies «a commitment to peaceful resolutions, especially regarding the Sahara, fostering regional stability». Meanwhile, Mounir Satouri emphasized «Morocco's pivotal role in African peace processes, both diplomatically and culturally». The evening concluded with performances by Douzi, Lartiste, and Benny Adam, celebrating unity through the diverse dimensions of peace: diplomacy, culture, youth, civil society, sports, and spirituality.
