The Moroccan artist residing in Spain, Aymane Bufrakech, is set to present his artwork from November 13 to December 12, 2025, at the Espace Rivages of the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad. This exhibition, titled «Between Two Continents», will kick off with an opening event featuring the artist himself. Born in 2003 in Tangier, Bufrakech delves into «the intersection of reality and imagination, as well as the blend of tradition and modernity», according to the exhibition organizers. Having been immersed in the world of painting from an early age, Aymane was guided by his father, the painter Abdelaziz Bufrakech, to discover his passion. Even before obtaining his baccalaureate in applied arts in Tangier and pursuing Art History studies at the University of Malaga in Spain, he began showcasing his work in 2017, both in his hometown and internationally. Over time, he has crafted «a sensitive and unique artistic vision», drawing inspiration from the diverse cities he has explored, including Tangier, Rabat, Marrakech, Meknes, Madrid, Malaga, Paris, Berlin, and Prague. Aymane highlights that this geographical mobility has significantly expanded his artistic horizons. «Living between Morocco and Spain has allowed me to experience two distinct lights, sensitivities, and artistic cultures. This journey has transformed my understanding of color and time», he shared. Through his participation in various projects across Morocco and Spain, he has successfully enhanced his intercultural dialogue and international presence. «His pieces are part of private collections around the globe, notably in the United States, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Belgium, England, and Italy», a statement notes. Aymane Bufrakech particularly values «the sensitivity and naivety» of youth, who «dare to explore freely», fostering creative diversity. His dedicated work emphasizes memory and emotion, maintaining «an unwavering attachment» to his homeland, which continues to be a profound source of inspiration.
