This triumph marks the right-back's second consecutive win, solidifying his position as a formidable contender for the African Ballon d'Or as well. Achraf Hakimi becomes the second Moroccan player to earn this prestigious accolade, following in the footsteps of his compatriot Yassine Bounou, who won the 15th edition.
