Snowfall starting from 1,700 meters in elevation and strong wind gusts are expected on Wednesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). From 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, snowfall of 20 to 30 cm is forecast in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, and Midelt, and 5 to 10 cm in Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Taourirt, Figuig, Taza, Khénifra, Azilal, and Béni Mellal, the DGM said in an «orange» alert bulletin. Additionally, strong wind gusts ranging from 70 to 85 km/h are expected on Wednesday between 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the provinces of Midelt, Jerada, Figuig, Nador, Driouch, and Boulemane, the same source added.
