The collapse also caused partial damage to the building next door, the same source indicated. Authorities were alerted to cracks in the building on the night of Wednesday, December 31. In response, local and security officials swiftly evacuated the building, along with nearby shops and structures, and secured the surrounding area. An investigation has been launched to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident, while administrative and technical procedures are being carried out to determine accountability.
