DR ‹ › A school guard died and a staff member was injured on Tuesday morning after a wall collapsed inside a private school in the Oasis neighborhood of Casablanca. According to local reports, the accident occurred amid the heavy rainfall that has swept the city since Monday night. The collapse killed the guard instantly, while a female supervisor suffered leg injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The guard's body was transferred to the morgue. Security services have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the tragic incident. The accident comes as Casablanca's mayor, Nabila Rmili, urged residents and shop owners to exercise maximum caution due to the expected stormy weather on Monday evening on her social media accounts. She called on business owners to secure signs and lightweight structures, and advised residents of buildings with underground garages to take preventive measures against flooding. Municipal teams have also been deployed to clear drains and reinforce the city's drainage network in anticipation of further rain.
