DR ‹ › Behind the scenes of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, a high-level Technical Study Group (TSG) is overseeing the tournament's tactical and performance analysis. Based in Rabat, the group brings together 12 seasoned African football experts responsible for dissecting every match, identifying tactical trends, and selecting the Player of the Match after each game, writes CAF. The TSG is led by Tunisia's Belhassen Malouche, a FIFA technical consultant with over two decades of experience, alongside CAF manager Jaida Zakaria. Their work relies on advanced video analysis, real-time data, and in-stadium observation, combining technology with on-the-ground expertise to track how the game evolves throughout the competition. Morocco is represented by two key figures within this structure. Jamal Fathi, National Technical Director and Head of Coach Education at the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), is part of the expert panel, bringing his experience in youth development, performance methodology, and national technical policy. He is joined by Said Dahbi, a video analyst with the FRMF, known for his precision in transforming match footage into actionable tactical insights using advanced analytical tools. Beyond Morocco, the group reflects broad continental representation with experts from Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Mali, Namibia, Ethiopia, DR Congo, Angola, Egypt and Cameroon. It includes current and former national team head coaches, technical directors, and youth development specialists, as well as experts with experience at FIFA World Cups, Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, and major continental youth competitions. The panel also features specialists in women's football, former international players who transitioned into technical and analytical roles, and senior video analysts working with national federations and top African clubs.
