DR ‹ › Snowfall, heavy rain or thunderstorms, a cold wave, and strong wind gusts are expected from Saturday through Tuesday in several provinces of Morocco, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced. According to an orange alert bulletin issued by the DGM, snowfall ranging between 50 and 90 cm, at elevations starting from 1,300 meters, will affect the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, and Ouarzazate from Saturday at 10:45 a.m. to Monday at 11:00 p.m. Over the same period, snowfall of 30 to 50 cm is forecast in the provinces of Chichaoua, Midelt, Béni Mellal, Tinghir, Ifrane, Khénifra, Sefrou, Boulemane, Al Hoceïma, Guercif, Taza, and Taroudant. Snowfall starting from 1,200 meters is also expected during the same timeframe in the provinces of Driouch, Figuig, Jerada, Errachidia, Taourirt, El Hajeb, Chefchaouen, Chtouka Ait Baha, and Tiznit. In addition, heavy rain or thunderstorms with accumulations of 30 to 50 mm are forecast from Saturday at 10:00 p.m. to Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in the provinces of Tanger-Assilah, Fahs-Anjra, M'diq-Fnideq, Tétouan, Larache, Kénitra, Safi, Chtouka Ait Baha, and Tiznit. Rainfall of 25 to 35 mm is expected in Rabat, Salé, Skhirate-Témara, Benslimane, Casablanca, Mohammedia, Mediouna, Berrechid, Nouaceur, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Essaouira, Agadir Ida-Outanane, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Khémisset, Youssoufia, Inezgane-Aït Melloul, and Sidi Ifni. Moreover, a cold wave, with temperatures ranging between –9°C and –3°C, is expected from Sunday to Tuesday in the provinces of Tinghir, Al Haouz, Midelt, Boulemane, Sefrou, Guercif, Taza, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Chichaoua, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Ifrane, and Khénifra. Strong wind gusts, reaching 75 to 85 km/h, are also forecast on Saturday from 10:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Tiznit, Tata, and Taroudant, and from Sunday at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. in Tata, Chtouka Ait Baha, Tiznit, Taroudant, Sidi Ifni, Tan-Tan, Guelmim, Assa-Zag, Tarfaya, and Es-Smara.
