DR ‹ › Snowfall, heavy rain or stormy showers, and a cold wave are expected to affect several provinces across Morocco from Friday through Tuesday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). In an orange-level weather alert, the DGM announced that snowfall of 35 to 80 cm above 1,400 meters is expected in the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, and Chichaoua, from Friday at 6:00 p.m. to Monday at 6:00 a.m. Snowfall of 15 to 35 cm above 1,300 meters is also forecast over the same period in Midelt, Béni Mellal, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Ifrane, Khénifra, Sefrou, Boulemane, Al Hoceïma, Chefchaouen, Guercif, Taza, and Taroudant. In addition, snowfall of 10 to 15 cm above 1,200 meters is expected in Driouech, Figuig, Errachidia, Taourirt, and El Hajeb. Snow accumulation of 10 to 15 cm above 1,500 meters is also forecast in Chtouka Ait Baha and Tiznit during the same timeframe. Heavy rain or stormy showers, with rainfall amounts ranging from 20 to 40 mm, are expected from Friday at 6:00 p.m. to Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in several provinces, including Kenitra, Sidi Slimane, Rabat, Casablanca, Salé, Meknès, Tangier-Assilah, and Chefchaouen, as well as parts of central and northern Morocco. The DGM further warned of a cold wave, with temperatures dropping to between -9°C and -3°C, expected from Sunday to Tuesday in the provinces of Tinghir, Al Haouz, Midelt, Boulemane, Sefrou, Guercif, Taza, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Chichaoua, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Ifrane, and Khénifra.
