DR ‹ › Morocco's General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced that snowfall, a cold wave, and occasionally strong wind gusts are expected to affect several regions of the Kingdom from Tuesday through Thursday. In an orange-level weather alert, the DGM said snowfall ranging between 15 and 25 cm is forecast at elevations above 1,200 meters in the provinces and prefectures of Ifrane, Boulemane, Khénifra, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Taroudant, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Azilal, and Béni Mellal, from Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.. The same alert indicates additional snowfall of 5 to 10 cm above 900 meters in Taza, Chichaoua, Figuig, Driouch, Jerada, Taourirt, Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Berkane, and Oujda-Angad, from Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. until Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.. The DGM also warned of a cold wave, with temperatures expected to drop between -4°C and -13°C in Tinghir, Al Haouz, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Ifrane, Midelt, and Boulemane, and between 0°C and -6°C in Jerada, Taourirt, Khénifra, Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Taza, Chefchaouen, Figuig, Chichaoua, Taroudant, and Ouarzazate, from Tuesday through Thursday. In addition, strong to occasionally very strong wind gusts, reaching 75 to 85 km/h, are forecast in Boulemane, Midelt, Nador, Jerada, Figuig, Driouch, Al Haouz, Tiznit, Tinghir, Taroudant, Sidi Ifni, Ouarzazate, Guelmim, and Assa-Zag, from Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. until Wednesday at 3:00 a.m..
