DR ‹ › Yassin Halhoul has been appointed as the new president of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Morocco (CCSM). He succeeds Christophe de Figueiredo, who stepped down to pursue new professional opportunities. In announcing the appointment, the Chamber expressed its gratitude for de Figueiredo's commitment and leadership, noting that he will retain the title of honorary president. During his tenure, the Chamber said, «the visibility and diversity of activities» were significantly strengthened through «structuring initiatives» that helped consolidate ties between the Swiss and Moroccan business communities. With this transition, the CCSM is entering what it described as «a new phase of development» under its new leadership. Holding both Moroccan and Swiss nationality, Yassin Halhoul is an entrepreneur active in both countries. His «deep understanding of the two economic ecosystems» places him «in an ideal position» to open new perspectives and develop bilateral opportunities for CCSM members, the Chamber said. His mandate will focus on strengthening business relations between Switzerland and Morocco, creating new economic opportunities for members, reinforcing the CCSM's role as a reference platform for bilateral cooperation, and increasing the visibility of the Chamber and its initiatives. These priorities are intended to support partnerships and further energize economic ties between Morocco and Switzerland.
