The Moroccan Chamber of Commerce in Italy (CCMI) officially opened its doors on Wednesday in Rome, marking a significant step towards bolstering economic ties, encouraging investments, and fostering sustainable business opportunities between Morocco and Italy. The inauguration featured a dual ceremony held at the new chamber's headquarters and later at the Italian Senate. During the event, Marouan El Mansoub, President of the Moroccan Chamber of Commerce in Italy, described the establishment as a strategic link designed to connect entrepreneurs and businesses from both nations, with a particular focus on sectors such as energy, logistics, and green technologies. Italian Senator Bartolomeo Amidei, part of the government majority and a member of the commission for industry, agriculture, tourism, commerce, and crafts, praised the chamber's creation as a milestone in strengthening Morocco-Italy cooperation. Senator Amidei also highlighted the PRIMA partnership agreement, which focuses on research and innovation in the Mediterranean region, as a crucial driver of enhanced collaboration between the two countries. CCMI's Secretary-General, Paolo Spataro, expressed his enthusiasm for the new economic structure, which he believes will facilitate exchanges, broaden commercial prospects, and stimulate investment across the Mediterranean. Echoing this sentiment, Mohamed Choukri Belkadi, Secretary-General of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) Fez-Meknes, asserted that the inauguration of the Moroccan-Italian Chamber of Commerce in Rome is set to significantly boost trade exchanges between the two nations.
