She has recently launched her own establishment in Wavre, Belgium, where she serves brunch alongside traditional desserts that beautifully combine honey, almond paste, and orange blossom. In a recent interview with RTBF, the pastry chef reflected on her roots, sharing, «My mother made a lot of Moroccan pastries, and my father was trained in pastry,» she told Belgian television. While studying fashion design, Fouzia Taybi's interest in her family's culinary craft grew, ultimately leading her to participate in «Meilleur Pâtissier.» «I had applied in France but didn't hear back, and then the opportunity arose in Morocco,» she recalls. Her notable appearance on the show spurred her to create her unique brunch-café-pâtisserie concept, now a popular destination for enjoying mssemen, batbout, amlou, and other signature specialties like the «amlou latte.» The establishment also offers catering services for weddings, providing a chance to savor delights like rosaces and cornes de gazelle, promising a delightful return to traditional flavors.
