DR ‹ › The Moroccan activist Zineb El Kharroubi, who resides in France and is a member of the GenZ 212 movement, is now facing charges of «incitement to commit offenses via the internet». After her arrest yesterday upon her arrival at Marrakech airport, her trial has been set for February 26 in Casablanca. She will be appearing in court while out on bail. Omar Arbib, representing the Marrakech branch of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH), revealed that «Zineb El Kharroubi is accused of making social media posts during the GenZ protests in Morocco». He further explained that «a complaint was lodged against her by a Moroccan citizen, accusing her of 'defamation and insult' on social media».
