As part of efforts to strengthen bilateral economic relations, the capital city of Rabat hosted, on Thursday, February 12, an official reception marking the visit of a high-level Croatian economic delegation to the Kingdom of Morocco. The event was presided over by the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Morocco, Ms. Jasna Škunc Milita, at her residence, in honor of the delegation led by Dr. Luka Burilović, President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy. The delegation includes representatives of several companies affiliated with the Croatian Chamber of Economy. The visit aims to explore concrete investment opportunities and build strategic partnerships with Moroccan economic stakeholders in promising, high value-added sectors. This visit reflects the shared determination to elevate economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Croatia by injecting new momentum into bilateral relations, highlighting complementarities between the two economies and exploring cooperation prospects in energy transition, tourism development, the pharmaceutical industry, and technological innovation. In a statement to Addar channel, Ambassador Jasna Milita stressed that the forum "embodies the strength and maturity of Moroccan-Croatian relations," emphasizing that the goal is to "create genuine opportunities for cooperation and partnership between companies from both countries, particularly in strategic sectors such as industry, energy, tourism, and innovation." She added that the strong mutual interest reflects a shared belief in the ability of such meetings to open new horizons for sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships. She also highlighted that her nine years of experience in Morocco since 2017 have allowed her to witness the quality of bilateral relations, built not only on figures and agreements but also on trust and human connections among economic actors. For his part, Tomislav Radoš, Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, stated that 15 Croatian companies participated in the forum alongside Moroccan firms. He noted that the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss ways to improve the business climate and strengthen cooperation in energy, information and communication technologies, renewable energy, as well as wood and textile industries. He added that the delegation held constructive discussions with several Moroccan government sectors, particularly the Ministries of Industry, Energy, Mines, and Environmental Protection, in addition to institutions responsible for investment promotion, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and public investment. He expressed optimism about increasing bilateral trade, currently estimated at around €80 million, and announced a forthcoming visit by Moroccan companies to Croatia in the coming months.
