ERM/KMS – Laszlo Reylandt DR DR ‹ › Prince Gabriel of Belgium has taken part in a winter training camp in Morocco, the Belgian Royal Palace announced on Sunday. The exercise took place in Errachidia as part of the prince's fourth year at the Royal Military Academy (KMS). Photos shared on social media showed the 22-year-old during the training, including images of him kneeling in the desert landscape of Errachidia. «True leadership is built on embracing challenges together and pushing boundaries, even in the most extreme circumstances», the Palace wrote. The camp, held from January 26 to February 6, marked the final winter training session for Gabriel and his fellow cadets. In what was described as an «inhospitable yet impressive environment», they trained in navigation, survival skills, and leading a platoon. After three years of winter camps in Belgian barracks, the cadets swapped forests for the Moroccan desert. According to the Belgian Royal Military Academy, Morocco was specifically chosen for the final-year camp to simulate a full strategic deployment.
