The 41st class of cadet officers from the Mauritanian Military Academy completed a training program at Morocco's Royal Military Academy from June 13 to 20, according to a statement by the Mauritanian army reported in Nouakchott-based media. The program offered these future officers the chance to «share their expertise with their Moroccan counterparts». It included lectures, field exercises, theoretical presentations, and a range of sports and educational activities. The cadets also toured the Royal Academy's facilities in Meknes and Fez. This training initiative is part of the ongoing military cooperation between the two countries. Notably, a delegation from the Royal Military Academy in Meknes visited Mauritania in June 2022. Military exchanges between Morocco and Mauritania have become increasingly frequent, especially following the first session of the Morocco-Mauritania Joint Military Commission held on January 29, 2020. More recently, a Royal Armed Forces (FAR) intelligence delegation visited Mauritania on June 3 and 4. A few weeks earlier, from April 22 to 24, another FAR delegation, led by the Vice President of the Social Works Department, also conducted a working visit to the country.
