DR ‹ › Morocco has issued a tender to import 1,000 tons of frozen beef and 3,000 tons of frozen camel meat from Brazil to supply the country's Armed Forces. According to the National Defense Administration's tender notice, bids must be submitted by March 9, the Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA) reported on Wednesday. The document specifies that the beef will be sourced from Brazil based on existing sanitary agreements and valid health certificates between the two countries. The requirements state that the animals must be born and slaughtered in Brazil, fed plant-based feed, originate from states officially certified as free of parasites and diseases, and comply with halal slaughter procedures in accordance with Islamic rules. The frozen meat must be from recent production, no more than three months after slaughter. A designated commission will inspect the products to ensure compliance with Morocco's sanitary standards before approval, ANBA reported.
