DR ‹ › The fourth edition of GITEX AFRICA Morocco will take place from April 7 to 9 in Marrakech, aiming to support the emergence of a sovereign and sustainable digital economy across Africa. Held under the theme «Catalyzing the African Digital Economy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence», the event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, startups, investors, and researchers to explore the potential of responsible AI. According to a statement, this year's edition also seeks to «advance digital public policies and accelerate the scaling of high-impact solutions for the continent». The initiative aligns with the vision of the Digital for Sustainable Development Hub (D4SD), launched by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Organized under the ministry's supervision by the Digital Development Agency (ADD) and KAOUN International, a subsidiary of the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event aims to position digital technology as «a strategic driver of co-development in Africa, ensuring that technological innovation contributes concretely to sustainable development and improved quality of life for citizens», said Minister Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni. Organizers describe the upcoming edition as a «catalyst for cross-border cooperation», designed to accelerate the deployment of high-impact digital solutions capable of sustainably strengthening Africa's economic resilience for decades to come.
