DR ‹ › Ittihad Tanger has officially announced the appointment of Algerian coach Abdelhak Benchikha as head coach of the first team on a one-and-a-half-year contract. The move aims to strengthen the club's technical staff and support the team in upcoming competitions. Benchikha will be joined by Serge Romano, who will serve as assistant coach as part of the new technical setup. The Algerian coach previously managed Ittihad Tanger between 2015 and 2017. He has also coached several Moroccan clubs, including Raja Casablanca, Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi, Renaissance Berkane, Moghreb Tétouan, and Mouloudia Oujda. Earlier on Tuesday evening, the club announced the dismissal of Spanish coach José Miguel Pérez as head coach of the first team. According to the club, the decision was taken «as part of restructuring the club's technical management for the upcoming phase».
