DR ‹ › Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has given his "verbal consent" to represent the Moroccan national team in the future, according to Foot Mercato. This decision followed a meeting last Friday between the new national coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, and the 19-year-old Moroccan prospect. The report highlighted that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation outlined their vision for the national team, emphasizing that "the discussions between the various parties were positively evaluated by the federation." Foot Mercato also noted that the Lille player, who has Moroccan roots, could opt to join the Atlas Lions just three months before the 2026 World Cup. The source further revealed that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation is optimistic about the situation and hopes to call up Bouaddi for the March 2026 training camp, aiming for his swift integration into the team. The Moroccan national team could potentially strengthen its midfield with the addition of Nael Ainaoui and Samir El Morabit, who are also eligible for future camps. Ayyoub Bouaddi honed his skills at «FC Créteil» before moving to Lille in 2021, where he signed his first professional contract, later extended until 2029. Regarded as one of the brightest talents of his generation, Bouaddi has already made over 70 appearances for Lille in the French first division.
