DR ‹ › A three-year-old child tragically lost his life on Wednesday evening, March 18, after falling into a deep well in the Beni Zouli commune in Zagora province. His body was recovered several hours after he was reported missing. The child's family alerted authorities following his disappearance earlier in the afternoon. In response, units from the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection, assisted by local residents, launched an extensive search operation that ultimately led to the discovery of his lifeless body at the bottom of a water well, around 120 meters deep, near his family home. Rescue teams faced significant technical challenges due to the well's depth and narrow opening before managing to retrieve the body at around 7 p.m. The child's body was transferred to the morgue at the regional hospital in Zagora, while a judicial investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
