DR ‹ › The Consulate General of Morocco in Almería is steadfast in its efforts to enhance consular services for the Moroccan community in this southern Spanish province through a special initiative. Implemented over weekends, this initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of Moroccan consular services to meet the increasing demands of Moroccans abroad, ensuring prompt and high-quality service delivery. Speaking to MAP, Soumia Fathi, the Consul General in Almería, highlighted that the entire consular team is fully engaged in the successful execution of this initiative, which features extended hours and weekend shifts. Fathi stressed that these measures are designed to provide optimal reception conditions and ensure efficient processing of requests, addressing the expectations of the Moroccan community in the region, which boasts a significant Moroccan population. She also pointed out that the introduction of documents with an apostille has streamlined administrative procedures for users. Since February 11, the Consulate General of the Kingdom in Almería has processed over 13,000 requests, with a daily capacity of nearly 700 files, underscoring the scale of their mobilization. In tandem with this effort, civil society has rallied to support the initiative, notably by issuing vulnerability certificates for those in need. On Saturday alone, several hundred services were delivered, particularly aiding individuals in remote areas or those with limited time, thereby facilitating their access to consular services.
