Buildings & Logistic Services (BLS) has just taken a significant step forward in its growth strategy by finalizing the acquisition of 100% of Transload, a leading Moroccan company specializing in road freight transport. With a fleet of over 100 trucks and a predominantly multinational client portfolio—particularly in the FMCG and cement industries—Transload has established itself in recent years as a key player in national logistics. This acquisition significantly strengthens BLS's operational capabilities and confirms its ambition to build a national leader in integrated "end-to-end" logistics. A Strategic Operation in Line with BLS's Build-Up Plan This operation is part of BLS's ongoing build-up strategy, launched several years ago to consolidate its presence across all segments of the logistics value chain: warehousing, transport, customs brokerage, and freight forwarding. It aligns with a national dynamic of modernizing the logistics sector, where synergies between players have become an essential lever of competitiveness. "The integration of Transload strengthens our logistics capabilities and our commitment to providing our clients with ever more efficient and reliable service," said Moncef Belkhayat, President of BLS. A Gradual Integration and Controlled Transition As part of this transaction, Abdelouahhab Sekkat, co-founder of Transload, will continue to lead the company for a 12-month transition period to ensure a "smooth and seamless integration with BLS teams," according to a BLS statement. This phased approach reflects the group's intention to combine growth with operational continuity, while valuing the expertise and know-how of existing teams. BLS also expressed its appreciation for the work of Transload's founders, Mr. Laraki and Mr. Sekkat, as well as the advisors who supported the transaction, including Rachid Hilmi. Trusted Partners Supporting Growth The company also extended its gratitude to its institutional partners, STOA Infra & Energy and IFC – International Finance Corporation, who are supporting its expansion and share its vision for a competitive, sustainable, and internationally oriented Moroccan logistics sector. Finally, Moncef Belkhayat congratulated the BLS management team — Anass Moutaoukil, Salaheddine Ait Ouakrim, Nabil Touzani, Mehdi Chami, Réda Qermane, and Zakaria Jerrari — for their involvement in the success of this operation and their role in the upcoming integration phase. BLS: Toward a New Generation of Integrated Logistics With this acquisition, BLS reaffirms its position as a major player in the development of a modern, integrated, and high-performing Moroccan logistics ecosystem. The group aims to strengthen an "end-to-end" model covering the full range of logistics needs for both Moroccan and international companies — all in the service of enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness.
