Morocco football federation & OCP launch fund to nurture future stars

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation Association (FRMF) and state-owned phosphate rock miner OCP have signed a partnership agreement to create a special fund to finance and develop training programs for emerging football talents, according to a statement by the football body.
The agreement was also signed by private sector partners, including the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), the same statement issued Tuesday added. This partnership aligns with royal directives to «support the national effort to develop football and achieve excellence in this field», the statement reads.
Together, the signatories of this agreement will work on upgrading football training centers across Morocco, improving their equipment, and ensuring they are managed professionally with precise technical expertise.
The creation of the training fund is based on an «economic model» focused on training high-level players and integrating them into professional teams, ensuring the sustainability of this project. This will be achieved through the creation of a company specialized under the technical supervision of the National Technical Department of the Royal Moroccan Football University.
This fund will finance the operational management of the training centers, implementing a new model that emphasizes excellence and professionalization of young talents.
Under this partnership, this fund will finance the training centers to ensure excellence through the professionalization of young talents, as well as their contribution to promoting social integration of young people and developing the values of sport.
Speaking following the signing of this agreement, FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa stated that «11 clubs will be involved in these programs with 9 teams from each club, totaling 99 teams with young male and female Moroccan talents from different age categories».

He added, «This will allow young Moroccans from across the country to showcase their talent. In the future, all clubs will be able to participate and take part in this program, and we have even opened the door for the public sector to invest in this program».
