Morocco has taken all necessary measures to secure an adequate supply of meningitis vaccines following Saudi Arabia's decision to mandate the shot for Umrah pilgrims, Government Spokesperson Mustapha Baitas said on Thursday. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has distributed vaccines to accredited health centers nationwide and the Pasteur Institutes, Baitas told reporters following a government council meeting. Authorities are working to replenish national stocks while maintaining a strategic reserve, he added. The ministry urged citizens to visit their nearest accredited health center to receive the vaccine and obtain a vaccination certificate, aiming to ease overcrowding at some facilities. A full list of accredited centers is available on the ministry's website.
