The Wali of the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, Mohamed Najem Abhai, the President of the Regional Council, Mbarka Bouaida, and Dr. Rochdi Talib, CEO of the AKDITAL Group, inaugurated the Guelmim Private Hospital. This new multidisciplinary healthcare facility, equipped with 126 beds, is the result of a 250 million dirham investment. The hospital is a key part of the national strategy to modernize the healthcare sector. It provides residents of Guelmim and the surrounding region with direct access to high-quality care, thanks to modern infrastructure that meets international standards, as detailed in the press release. The facility includes eight operating rooms, a mother and child unit, an intensive care unit (25 beds), a general intensive care unit (9 bays), a neonatal intensive care unit (7 incubators), as well as an interventional cardiology unit with a catheterization room and stress testing facilities. An integrated oncology center offers comprehensive cancer care with a day hospital (13 chemotherapy chairs), a radiotherapy unit (featuring the latest generation accelerator and dosimetric scanner), and a complete technical platform. The hospital also boasts a 24/7 emergency service, a state-of-the-art laboratory, and a continuously operational radiology center. Fully digitalized, the facility allows secure and quick access to patients' medical data, optimizing their care pathway. With this opening, AKDITAL strengthens its territorial presence, bringing the total number of facilities it operates across Morocco to 36, with a total capacity of 4,148 beds. Listed on the stock exchange since 2022, the group employs more than 7,500 people.
