The Moroccan taekwondo team secured three medals—one gold, one silver, and one bronze—at the World Cadet Taekwondo Championships, held from May 8 to 14 in Al Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, according to the Royal Moroccan Taekwondo Federation. The gold medal was claimed by Samar Lamlih (-59 kg), who defeated Iran's Ghazal Kabousi in the final (2-0), the federation said in a press release. Khadija Amrani (-37 kg) won silver after falling to South Korea's Geunmi Lee (2-0) in the final. The bronze medal went to Oumaima Aït Mbarek in the under-29 kg category. Thanks to these performances, Morocco placed third overall in the cadet girls' team rankings, the statement concluded.
