Originally scheduled for May 30 and 31, the Casablanca comedy festival Comediablanca will now take place a day earlier, on May 29 and 30, 2025, at the Mohammed V Complex. According to a press release issued by the organizers on Thursday, the updated schedule will see the Arabophone Gala held on May 29, followed by the Francophone Gala on May 30. This adjustment comes in response to the announcement of a major Wydad Athletic Club football match set for May 31 near the festival site. To avoid logistical and security pressure from hosting two large-scale public events on the same weekend and out of respect for all teams involved, the organizers have opted to move the festival forward by a day, reads the press release. «This decision was made with deep love for our country and with everyone's well-being in mind», said Saad Lahjouji Idrissi, President of Comediablanca. While the calendar has shifted slightly, the lineup remains unchanged, bringing together some of the brightest names in comedy. The Arabophone Gala will spotlight iconic figures such as Hanane El Fadili, Oussama Ramzi, Ayoub Idri, Driss & Mehdi, Said & Wadie, Ghita Kitane, Simo Sedraty, and Mohamed Fatih. The Francophone Gala will feature Roman Frayssinet, Meryem Benoua, Mimo Lazrak, Oualas, Coco Makmak, Sarah Lélé, Ethan Lallouz, and impressionist Erick Baert, who will close the evening with his dazzling vocal performances.
