A high-level economic delegation from the Valencia region is scheduled to visit the city of Tangier on June 2 and 3, 2025. This visit aims to strengthen economic, commercial, and institutional cooperation between the two regions. The delegation is led by Marian Cano, Minister of Innovation and Industry for the Valencian government, and includes representatives from key sectors such as food processing, textiles, tourism and sports infrastructure, construction, transportation, and finance, with notable participation from Caixabank. Delegates are particularly interested in exploring investment opportunities in Tangier and establishing partnerships with local economic stakeholders to foster sustainable, mutually beneficial cooperation. The delegation also includes the presidents of the chambers of commerce from Valencia, Alicante, Orihuela, and Alcoy, underscoring the strong support from major economic institutions in the Valencia region for this collaborative initiative. The program will begin on Monday, June 2, at 9:30 AM with an opening session held at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Tangier–Tetouan–Al Hoceima region. This session will bring together institutional representatives and business leaders from both Morocco and Spain to present regional development strategies and initiate a structured dialogue between economic actors from both sides. The remainder of the day will be dedicated to bilateral B2B meetings aimed at fostering direct communication and practical partnerships between Spanish and Moroccan companies. A highlight of the visit will be a tour of the Tangier Med Port facilities, where delegates will get an in-depth look at the port's operational capabilities, infrastructure for handling international trade, and the competitive advantages offered by the region. This economic mission is organized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Valencia, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce in Valencia and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Tangier–Tetouan–Al Hoceima region. It is part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote closer integration of the economic systems of Morocco and Spain.
