The first edition of Drâa-Tafilalet Days concluded on June 10, after a five-day program aimed at strengthening the region's position in international tourism markets. Organized by the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Drâa-Tafilalet in partnership with the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), the event brought together international buyers and local tourism operators. More than 20 international tour operators from Spain and France took part in a familiarization trip across the region's five provinces from June 6 to 10. The program offered participants a first-hand look at the region's landscapes, heritage sites, and tourism offerings, complemented by structured professional exchanges. The initiative culminated in a professional conference on June 10 in Ouarzazate, where international tour operators met with Moroccan tourism professionals, including institutional representatives, regional operators, and receptive agencies. Discussions focused on showcasing the region's tourism products and fostering business connections between local providers and international buyers. The event wrapped up with a reception at the Cinema Museum, offering participants further networking opportunities. According to organizers, this inaugural edition lays the groundwork for a long-term regional strategy to expand tourism offerings and reinforce the region's visibility in global markets.
