From May 27 to 29, a delegation from the Malian army visited Morocco, as announced on Tuesday, June 17, by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) via their official account on X. According to the same source, the visit focused on strengthening cooperation in military health. As part of the program, the Malian delegation toured the Mohammed V Military Instruction Hospital in Rabat, where they were given briefings on the hospital's organization and operations. To recall, Bamako hosted the first session of the Morocco-Mali Joint Military Commission on February 17, 2025. This meeting marked a diplomatic rapprochement between the two countries, following Bamako's January 2024 decision to withdraw from the 2015 Algiers Agreements. That decision came shortly after Mali joined the initiative launched by King Mohammed VI on November 6, 2023, aimed at granting Sahel countries access to the Atlantic Ocean, a move formalized in Marrakech on December 23, 2023. Military cooperation between Morocco and Mali also includes the training of Malian army personnel in the Royal Armed Forces' academies and military institutions.
