As Moroccans living abroad return home this summer, Fès-Saïss Airport is stepping up efforts to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience as part of the Marhaba 2025 operation. Backed by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the airport is speeding up procedures, streamlining security and customs, and improving passenger guidance. Mohammed Eladdouli, head of technical and navigation at Fès-Saïss Airport, told MAP that extra staff and resources have been deployed to meet travelers' needs. Teams helping with guidance and reception have been reinforced to provide top-notch service. Key measures include better passenger flow, facilities for people with disabilities, strict baggage delivery times, and fully operational shops and services with clear pricing. The National Airports Office (ONDA) also offers support through its website, a 24/7 call center, and social media channels for instant passenger help. Under King Mohammed VI's leadership, this 25th Marhaba edition adds new reception areas at Laayoune and Dakhla airports, bringing Morocco's total Marhaba sites to 26. Inside Morocco, these are spread across major ports, airports, rest areas, and border posts. Abroad, six sites operate at European ports in Italy, France, and Spain. From June 10 to September 15, social and medical services will be available at all sites to support Moroccan travelers during their journeys. This twenty-fifth edition of the Marhaba operation is distinguished by the creation of new national reception spaces at the airports of Laâyoune and Dakhla, bringing the total number of Marhaba reception sites to twenty-six. Twenty sites are operational within Morocco, located at the ports of Tanger Med, Tanger Ville, Al Hoceïma, and Nador Bni Nsar; the airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat-Salé, Oujda Angad, Nador, Agadir Al Massira, Fès Saïss, Marrakech Menara, Tanger Ibn Battouta, Laâyoune Hassan 1st, and Dakhla; rest areas at Méditerranée, Jebha, Tazaghine, and Smir M'Diq; and border posts at Bab Sebta and Mellila. Abroad, six Marhaba sites operate at European ports in Genoa (Italy); Sète and Marseille (France); and Motril, Almería, and Algeciras (Spain). Social assistance and medical care services, available to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad from June 10 to September 15, are deployed across all these sites to support travelers during arrival and return phases.
