The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has entered a two-year strategic partnership with the European Travel Agents' and Tour Operators' Associations (ECTAA), further reinforcing Morocco's position as a top destination for European travelers. The announcement, made earlier in July in an ECTAA press release, Morocco's growing appeal in key markets such as France, the Benelux countries, and Italy. As part of this agreement, ONMT and ECTAA will collaborate to promote Morocco not only through its iconic destinations but also by spotlighting lesser-known regions rich in culture and tourism potential. A strong emphasis will be placed on Morocco's sustainability initiatives, part of a broader national strategy aimed at responsible tourism. «Morocco is a natural gateway to the African continent for European travel companies. It is a reliable and inspiring partner with whom we are delighted to build a long-term collaboration», said Eric Drésin, Secretary General of ECTAA. The country's proximity to Europe, just a few hours away by air, combined with excellent connectivity to major cities, makes Morocco an attractive option for both leisure and business travelers seeking an exotic yet accessible escape. Representing nearly 80,000 travel companies across Europe, ECTAA brings together both traditional tour operators and dynamic packaging specialists. As part of the partnership, ECTAA will facilitate access to essential information on Morocco, helping European travel professionals better promote and sell the destination. Over the next two years, a series of communication initiatives, B2B meetings, and destination presentations will be organized to support this joint mission.
