On Thursday morning, the body of a doctor working at the Al Ghassani Regional Hospital in Fez was discovered buried in the garden of her husband's family home in Had Oulad Zbair, a town in Taza Province. She had been missing for several days under suspicious circumstances. The victim, a 36-year-old mother of two, was initially reported missing by both her husband, also a general practitioner at the same hospital and her father, following her sudden and unexplained disappearance. An investigation led by the Royal Gendarmerie in coordination with the Oued Amlil police and under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office traced the victim's phone, which ultimately led authorities to the grim discovery. Her body was found buried in a pit in the garden of her husband's family residence, bearing visible signs of violence. According to media reports, the doctor was last seen on Monday, July 14, after arriving at work, where she was allegedly attacked by her husband. The incident reportedly caused chaos at the hospital, prompting the intervention of security forces. Just hours after she was reported missing, the husband left the country, further deepening suspicions about his involvement in the crime. The investigation remains ongoing under the oversight of the relevant public prosecutor's office as authorities work to uncover the full circumstances and determine accountability.
