Eight people were killed in a road accident Thursday evening on National Road N11 at Douar Tarwa Yassine, in the commune of Bigoudine, Caïdat Argana (Taroudant province), local authorities reported. The tragedy occurred when a truck carrying vegetables collided with a first-category taxi heading to Chichaoua with seven passengers on board, the same source added. As soon as they were informed, local authorities, along with units from the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection, rushed to the scene to take the necessary measures. The accident left eight people dead at the scene. The victims' bodies were transferred to the morgue of the Hassan II Regional Hospital in Agadir. An investigation has been opened by the Royal Gendarmerie, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office, to determine the circumstances of the accident.
