Morocco's tourism sector has continued its upward momentum in 2025. By the end of July, the country welcomed 11.6 million visitors, a 16% increase compared to 2024. Tourism revenues in foreign currency reached 67 billion dirhams, up nearly 13% from the same period last year, the equivalent of an additional 7.5 billion dirhams, according to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy. July 2025 in particular recorded an exceptional performance, generating 13 billion dirhams in foreign currency revenues, a sharp 26% rise compared to July 2024. Commenting on the results, Fatima Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, said: «This growth in foreign currency revenues highlights the significant impact of tourism on the national economy. The increase in arrivals and the investments dedicated to developing Morocco's tourism offering further consolidate the Kingdom's position as a leading global destination. We are committed to maintaining this momentum and accelerating it».
