Moroccan comedian Gad Elmaleh is making a major return to the stage in Morocco, with performances on September 25, 26, and 27 at Casablanca's Mohammed V Complex with his show «Lui-même». After nearly two years touring internationally, the artist comes back to his hometown with an introspective and authentic performance. For this long-awaited reunion with the Casablanca audience, who last applauded him in 2019 at the Megarama, Elmaleh tackles deeply personal themes drawn from family life and his own experiences, including his encounter with the Pope and the CopyComic controversy. He delivers a more serene version of himself, embracing self-deprecation. «I think I decided to be myself when I realized, to my detriment, that not being me would only bring suffering and wandering», he previously told Ouest-France. Co-written with comedian Roman Frayssinet, «Lui-même» has already met with great success on international stages, from France, Belgium, and Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
