Moroccan midfielder Benjamin Bouchouari is close to joining Turkish club Trabzonspor. The 23-year-old is expected to leave French side AS Saint-Etienne, according to Turkish and Moroccan sports journalists. Reports indicate that Bouchouari has been invited to Turkey to finalize transfer negotiations. Over two seasons with Roda JC in the Dutch Eerste Divisie, he made nearly 70 appearances and scored three goals before moving to France. In August 2022, he joined Saint-Etienne and quickly became a key player, earning a place in the UNFP Ligue 2 Team of the Year in his debut season. Internationally, he chose to represent Morocco at youth level, playing for the U23 team that won the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and later secured a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
