The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) held its 10th board meeting in Rabat on Wednesday, with discussions centered on the presentation of the annual report on investment and export, as well as the Agency's 2024 achievements. The session was chaired by Karim Zidane, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of investment, convergence, and the evaluation of public policies, acting on behalf of the Head of Government, according to an AMDIE statement. The Agency emphasized that Morocco continues to pursue strategic reforms aimed at consolidating its position as an attractive destination for investment and a globally competitive export hub. This momentum is driven by an inclusive and sustainable approach, focused on job creation and the green transition. In 2024, AMDIE rolled out an ambitious promotional strategy, implementing 114 targeted initiatives at both national and international levels across 26 markets, while building strategic partnerships to support the national economy. At the same time, AMDIE hosted 129 visits from international delegations representing 34 countries, showcasing Morocco's advantages in infrastructure and human capital. The automotive sector accounted for the majority of these visits, although other fast-growing industries such as textiles, energy, and mining valorization also drew investor interest. Over the course of the year, the National Investment Commission convened four times, approving 131 investment agreements and amendments between public and private stakeholders, with projected investments of around 200 billion dirhams (MMDH). On the export front, AMDIE strengthened its actions through the Export Morocco NOW 2024–2026 and Export Morocco NOW Women programs, designed to support Moroccan companies in expanding internationally. In 2024, 312 companies and cooperatives benefited from 68 export promotion activities covering 28 markets. These efforts have reinforced Morocco's attractiveness in strategic sectors including automotive, renewable energies, tourism, aeronautics, and pharmaceuticals, underscoring AMDIE's active role in driving the country's investment and export momentum. The Agency also stepped up engagement with Moroccans abroad, organizing dedicated meetings and webinars in more than ten countries. At the conclusion of the session, the Council approved the annual report on investment and exports, as well as the record of achievements for 2024.
