The President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, paid a working visit to FIFA Africa's headquarters in Rabat on Friday. On this occasion, he toured the FIFA training course for women's football coaches, held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, according to a statement from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). Infantino also held meetings with the presidents of the federations of Senegal, South Sudan, Rwanda, Gabon, and Tunisia, focusing on ways to advance football across the African continent, the same source noted. In a video published on the FRMF's official website, Infantino highlighted the importance of the seminar for women's football educators in Africa, organized at the Mohammed VI Complex. He praised Morocco as a «great football and hosting nation», stressing that it has all the infrastructure needed to drive the development of African football. The FIFA President further expressed his satisfaction at meeting several African federation presidents to discuss strengthening African football and elevating its standing on the global stage. These talks come ahead of Morocco's major upcoming hosting duties: the U17 Women's World Cup, the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, and the 2030 World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal. «I am delighted to be in Morocco, at FIFA Africa's headquarters, for intense and very productive days», he concluded.
