On Monday, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) inaugurated its new direct route between Casablanca and Munich, marking an important milestone in strengthening air connectivity between Morocco and Germany. The inaugural flight, which will operate twice a week—on Mondays and Fridays—departed from Casablanca's Mohammed V Airport at 1:30 PM and landed at 6:00 PM at Munich International Airport, one of Bavaria's major air hubs. To celebrate the launch, a reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony were held in the boarding area of Munich Airport. The event was warmly received by members of the Moroccan and African communities in Germany, as well as by numerous tourists eager to visit Morocco. Passengers boarding the flight shared a festive moment during a cake-cutting ceremony, attended by Royal Air Maroc's Germany team, a representative of the Moroccan Embassy in Berlin, and Munich Airport officials. According to RAM, this new route serves as a strategic bridge between Morocco and Germany, designed to foster economic, cultural, and technological exchanges. It also responds to the rising demand for air connectivity between Morocco, Germany, and neighboring markets such as Austria and Switzerland. With the addition of Munich, RAM now serves two German cities on a regular basis, alongside Frankfurt, which has a daily connection with Casablanca. The airline also operates seasonal flights from Düsseldorf and Frankfurt to Nador and Oujda. This new route aims to meet the needs of tourists, business travelers, and the Moroccan and African diasporas, while boosting tourism cooperation by enabling German tour operators to offer more travel packages departing from Munich and Frankfurt.
