The Moroccan actor Mohamed Razin passed away on Thursday at the age of 79, as confirmed by his family. Razin was a towering figure in Morocco's artistic landscape, leaving an indelible mark with his rich and diverse career. He graced the stage in numerous theatrical productions and brought life to a range of characters on both television and in cinema, showcasing his versatility from simple to complex roles. Razin was among the pioneering Moroccan actors to gain recognition in cinema, notably through his roles in Nabil Lahlou's film «Al Kanfoudi» (1978) and Ahmed Bouanani's «Assarab» (Mirage) (1979). He was also actively involved with several theatrical troupes, including «Al Qinaa Assaghir» and the Mohammed V National Theatre troupe. In addition to his national acclaim, Mohamed Razin participated in approximately twenty international film and television productions shot in Morocco. Among these were the film «Les Mille et Une Nuits» by French director Philippe de Broca and the series «La Bible».
