The Italian shipping giant, Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV), has announced the appointment of Carole Montarsolo as the new General Manager of GNV Morocco. This move underscores the company's commitment to bolstering its presence in a market it deems crucial for its expansion in North Africa. At 37, Carole Montarsolo boasts a master's degree in General Management from the University of Genoa (2012) and another in Digital Marketing from the London Business School (2021). She transitioned from telecommunications to GNV in 2014, where she steadily advanced through the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development departments. Montarsolo has earned recognition for her adeptness at managing complex projects and forging robust partnerships with both public and private sector entities. With over a decade of experience in maritime transport, Montarsolo has developed a keen understanding of the Moroccan market. Her efforts have been instrumental in GNV's sustained growth in Morocco, highlighted by the opening of offices in Tangier and Nador in 2023, which cement the company's solid foothold in the region. GNV's operations in Morocco continue to thrive through a close partnership with Mohammed Kabbaj, a key figure in the brand's local development. According to Matteo Catani, CEO of GNV, this appointment represents «a pivotal step in reinforcing our presence in Morocco». He expressed confidence that the new leader will «successfully tackle the challenges ahead and continue GNV's growth in North Africa».
