Orange Morocco announced on Friday the official launch of its 5G network, marking a major milestone in the country's digital transformation. According to a press release, this new technology allows high-definition data sharing without latency or interruption, offering users a smoother and more accessible experience. The announcement follows Maroc Telecom's 5G launch the previous day, which was accompanied by the unveiling of the operator's new visual identity. «Today, the Group has chosen to take a new step in its history. In a context of accelerated innovation driven by the national 'Digital Morocco 2030' vision, the arrival of 5G and the expectations of a more ambitious Morocco, Maroc Telecom boldly asserts its commitment to transforming the sector», the company said in a statement. For its part, inwi also announced the rollout of its 5G network, describing it as a «major milestone in Morocco's digital development». «As the leader in the mobile internet market with over 18 million users, inwi's 5G network paves the way for a completely new user experience, innovative applications, and a profound transformation of work modes», the operator said. With ultra-fast speeds exceeding 2 Gbps, minimal latency, and greater capacity, inwi's 5G promises to redefine the connected experience for both individuals and businesses. At launch, inwi's 5G will cover Morocco's major cities. The service is immediately available to all mobile customers at no additional cost, without requiring a plan or SIM card change. Since inwi SIM cards are already 5G-compatible, customers with compatible smartphones in covered areas can instantly access the new network. To mark the occasion, inwi has also introduced several prepaid and postpaid plans offering data volumes tailored to different needs, with speeds that can surpass 2 Gbps.
