In El Ejido, Almería, a court has issued an international arrest warrant for a man suspected of fatally stabbing a 35-year-old woman in the streets of La Mojonera. Authorities believe the suspect fled to Morocco via the Port of Algeciras on October 2nd, the day the crime took place. The court's decision follows investigations by the civil guard, which suggest the suspect boarded a ferry bound for Tangier. His vehicle, discovered at the port, contained biological evidence and a knife believed to be the murder weapon. The victim's family lawyer told Europa Press that port surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, a 53-year-old man. Witness testimonies and data from the victim's phone and personal belongings linked him to the victim. The judiciary also heard from the suspect's brother, who claimed ignorance of his sibling's whereabouts but acknowledged the possibility that he fled to Morocco on the same day, especially after losing contact and reporting him missing. Investigations suggest the suspect and the victim may have had a brief relationship that ended just days before the murder.
