Helios Investment Partners and Fipar-Holding announced on Tuesday the launch of 3MDC, a major new digital infrastructure platform designed to become a national benchmark in Morocco. The platform was created following the acquisition of Maroc Datacenter, Munisys, and Medasys. Through this joint initiative, Africa's leading private investment fund and CDG Invest's subsidiary aim to «accelerate digital transformation» in Morocco and strengthen its position as «a regional tech hub», according to the statement. In terms of ownership, 3MDC will be jointly held by Helios IV (44%), Fipar-Holding (40%), and the founders and management teams (16%). The structure is meant to reflect «a balanced partnership», combining international investment expertise with strong national institutional backing, while ensuring robust local governance. The platform brings together Maroc Datacenter (MDC), Munisys, and Medasys, three major Moroccan players in cloud, data, cybersecurity, and digital services, to form «a unique, fully integrated hybrid-cloud platform» serving both businesses and the public sector in Morocco and Southern Europe. 3MDC will build on the growth of MDC's Tier III carrier-neutral datacenter, Munisys's capabilities in on-premises cloud, cybersecurity, integration, and digital solutions, and Medasys's «essential complementary technological expertise and deep understanding of the Moroccan IT ecosystem». The goal is now to deliver «advanced, secure, and sovereign digital solutions» tailored to the rapidly evolving needs of organizations, by combining «local insight, sector expertise, and long-term vision» to help build Morocco's technological capacities.
